Sweet Sweet Summer

It's so hard to believe summer is coming to a close in just a few weeks. My lack of blogging is not due to lack of activity...it's due to lack of time!

June ended with a trip to Texas for my grandmother's 80th birthday. The trip was fabulous in every way. The party was awesome at my cousin's amazing new house and almost the entire family was in attendance (read: a LOT of children). It was definitely nice to be in the homeland, sipping a beer, catching up with with family around the fire pit. Heaven.

While in Texas I teamed up with the ladies in the family to throw Jen a surprise TX bridal shower. Jen had NO idea and was completely surprised. It was awesome to celebrate Jen's upcoming wedding with all the women in the family.


The whole trip was awesome - complete with a trip to Schlitterbahn to relive my childhood. If you've ever watched the Travel channel's run down of best water parks in the world you should be jealous right about now ;-)

Can't wait to be back in the homeland in September!
